Well if ole J.C. was talking about The Academy of Natural Sciences last night, then he sure as hell was telling the truth.

Last night was the First Annual Philly Geek Awards, created by the mad geniuses over at Geekadelphia.com, and as I’m sure any of you that frequent this site will know, we were nominated for best new podcast. Let’s get it out of the way…

We didn’t win.

And I’m still smiling.

First and foremost, thank you to the people at Geekadelphia just for nominating us, for inviting us to the event, hell for pretending what we do can be called a podcast by someone’s standards that isn’t related to me.

“Who won” you may say? Well obviously it was our friends over at Talkadelphia. And for good reason. Those two are hard working, Philly centric, serious podcasters. They honestly deserved the award and I feel privileged to have been compared to them at all. Congratulations Gino and Kishwer. You two truly are the embodiment of a Philly centric podcast and I hope you never stop. Also I am extending the invite right now to do our show and let us be the first to interview the winners of the Best New Podcast. We may even stay sober for the first half. More after the jump »
